privacy policy

This policy explains what information stefanrueda.com collects, why, and what happens to it. "I" and "me" mean Stefan Rueda, a sole proprietor in Dallas, Texas, and any business entity I later form to run this coaching business.

What I collect

• Coaching application. If you submit the application, I collect what you type: first and last name, email, phone number, age, height and weight, where you live, injuries and medical history, occupation, eating and exercise habits, goals, how you heard about me, and anything else you add.
• Free guides. If you request a free guide, I collect your email address only, to send you the download link. It is not added to a mailing list.
• Messages. If you email me, I keep the email and your address so I can reply.
• Payment details. If you buy a program, Stripe collects your payment details and email address. I receive your email, what you bought and the amount, but I do not see or store full card numbers.
• Technical data. My hosting provider processes technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Page-view analytics. See "Analytics and cookies" below.

Health and fitness information

The application asks for health-related details such as injuries, medical history, height and weight. This information is sensitive. I ask for it only to decide whether coaching is a fit and to coach you safely. You choose what to share, and you give your consent by checking the box on the application form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing me. I am a coach, not a healthcare provider, and what you send me is not a medical record.

How I use it

• To read and reply to your application and schedule a consultation call.
• To coach you, if we start working together.
• To send a free guide you asked for.
• To improve the site, using anonymous page-view counts.
• To keep the site working and secure, and to meet legal obligations.

I do not sell your information. I do not share it for advertising. I do not build marketing profiles. I use your phone number and email only to answer you and coach you, not for marketing.

Who handles data for me

• Vercel Inc. hosts the site and runs Vercel Web Analytics.
• Web3Forms receives the application form and forwards it to my email inbox.
• Resend sends the free-guide and program-download emails.
• Google runs the email inbox where applications and messages arrive. Google Fonts also loads this site's typefaces from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
• Stripe processes payments for paid digital programs and collects your payment details. I do not see or store full card numbers. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that data.
• Instagram, Spotify and Vickery Athletics are linked from the site. If you click through, their own privacy policies apply.

These providers handle data only to run their service for me, under their own terms and privacy policies.

When I may share it

Only with the service providers above, or if the law, a court order or a government request requires it, or when needed to protect the rights, property or safety of my business, my clients or others.

The site links to other websites. I am not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see general information such as referring page, country, device and browser. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. The site sets no cookies. See the Cookie Policy.

How long I keep it

I keep application and guide-request information only as long as I need it for the purposes above or the law requires. If I do not accept your application, or you ask me to delete your information, I will delete it unless I am legally required to keep it.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a copy, and you can withdraw your consent. Email stefan@stefanrueda.com. I will answer within 45 days. If I deny a request and you disagree, reply with the word "appeal" and I will review it again and answer within 60 days. I do not send marketing messages. If that ever changes, I will ask for your permission first and every message will tell you how to opt out.

Security

The site and form use HTTPS, so data is encrypted in transit. Access to my inbox is limited to me. No method of storing or sending data is perfectly secure, so I cannot promise absolute security.

Children

This site and coaching are for people 18 and older. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If I learn that I have, I will delete it.

Changes

I may update this policy to reflect changes in my practices or the law. I will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how I use information from current clients, I will tell you by email.
